Valentine’s Day inspired rooms

by Shelly

Valentine’s Day is just three weeks away and since the color of 2011 also happens to be ….

I thought some fun pink hued Valentine-y looking living rooms would be fun!

Hot pink and dark coral look vibrant and energizing when paired with yellow!

Pink is soft and serene when done with bright white, dark wood and gold accents.

Honeysuckle tufted chairs look fun and sophisticated at the same time in this room. It gives it just the right amount of POP! Um, but what’s up with the funny ceramic Collie by the fireplace? Really?

One of my fav ways to do pink…paired with rich brown it makes a room warm and comforting with just the right amount of youthfulness.

Do you have any pink in your home that is NOT in your little girls’ room?

Hey,
I love the idea for this post! I might need to take your lead on a VDay inspired post. I personally love the color pink and have it my own place. I try to just have it as accents so my boyfriend can actually tolerate it though.

Oh, I found your blog on the Design Bloggers Conference. I will be there too! Hope to see you there!

Love the colorful inspiration, Shelly! So cheerful on a cold winter’s day!

P.S. Are you enjoying your new Ina book?

I used to have pink accents in my gray office (with white trim). The rest of my home is blues, taupes and whites and all of a sudden-BAM-pink + gray. Still trying to figure that office out…
