This holiday season feels a lot different than others in the past. Is it the failing failed economy, that our country is STILL in a war, or that our country still feels very divided? Probably all those things. Personally this has been THE MOST STRESSFUL YEAR ever..or at least in my more recent history. So, this Christmas and Thanksgiving I have really felt like knocking out the not so well thought out gifts and the impersonal last minute presents.
At the nice adult age of 33 I can’t believe what an amazing time in my life this is. And it’s just awesome to see some of my oldest and closest friends do just as well..if not better!…than I am at this point in our lives. For example my old friend Dabney of Dabney Lee Stationery and Dabney Lee at Home is killing it these days!!! When we first met back in our high school years, she was always so creative. A few of us girls would get together and do paper crafts of one kind or another and of course Dabney always came up with the cutest ideas. She also was always doodling her cute characters and people on cards and notes. So of course when she started her own stationery line it was not a total surprise. She was MEANT to do it!
Well back to the thought out gifts for this holiday season…. Dabney’s home line has some of the cutest ideas for all the women in your life! Check some of these ideas out:
Well, it’s official…Van Rozeboom Interiors is in full swing! I got my first client about a week ago…YIPPIE, but scary too. So, now that I’m back working a bit, it’s probably about time to start focusing on the mess that is suppose to be my office.
Currently it’s a DISASTER! When we moved in mid-July it became the “throw anything and everything that doesn’t have a home into this room” room. Awesome. Now it’s bad…really, really bad! So I’m currently searching around for ideas for my home office and I’m continually leaning towards one look. CAMPAIGN!! I’m not sure how or where it started, but I”m seeing a lot of this look around lately and I LOVE!
I’m getting up super early tomorrow and heading to the Los Angeles Flower Mart to buy more orchids for our house and possibly snatch up some pretty blooms to decorate my dining room table. I’m throwing a Stella and Dot jewelry party this Sunday for my girlfriends. Should be fun! So of course I have to have the house looking all purty for the girls!! I’ll be posting pics of my flower finds and sharing my little secrets too!
Two Halloween parties, dogs dressed in costumes on parade, lots of walking in the heat IN costumes and wigs, and too much wine, beer, candy and pizza later….WE’RE POOPED!!! But we had a fabulous night with friends. Halloween was a complete success!
